ETF

ETF stands for 'exchange-traded fund'. It trades like a stock on the exchange and bundles many individual securities. Usually it passively tracks an index (e.g. MSCI World, S&P 500). Benefits: very low costs (0.05–0.50% per year), broad diversification with a single trade, high liquidity. For many investors, ETFs are the foundation of the portfolio.
